The Americana Music Association and Lincoln Center have unveiled the 2016 lineup for their third annual “AmericanaFest NYC” taking place August 6 and 7 as part of Lincoln Center’s Out Of Doors series.
Jim Lauderdale to Receive Lifetime Achievement at Americana Honors & Awards, Presented by George Strait // 7.29.2016
Beloved songwriter, singer, and artist Jim Lauderdale will be the 2016 recipient of the Americana Music Association’s Wagonmaster Award, a special lifetime achievement honor reserved for the most valuable contributors to the course and history of America’s only broad roots music format. The award, named for country music icon Porter Wagoner, will be presented on September 21, 2016 by Country Music Hall of Fame member George Strait, a global star who has recorded more than a dozen of Jim Lauderdale’s songs.
The initiative, #roadtoamericanafest, is actively engaging artists, independent radio, retail, and publications in the promotion of AmericanaFest through their respective channels. Participants are encouraged to use the hashtag #roadtoamericanafest on social media to track and promote performances and other related events.

As the Americana Music Association gears up for AmericanaFest NYC, August 6-7, and it's 17th annual Americana Music Festival & Conference in Nashville, September 20-25, the organization's Executive Director, Jed Hilly, is confirmed for several special events, spreading the word about all things Americana.
The Americana Music Association is proud to announce that Buddy Miller will return to lead the Americana All-Star House Band for the upcoming Americana Honors & Awards ceremony, which is set to take place on September 21, 2016 at the historic Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, TN. Miller, an Americana and GRAMMY award winning singer, songwriter, and producer, will bring together some of the finest musicians in the world including Dave Cobb, Stuart Duncan, Fred Eltringham, Matt Rollings, Don Was, and The McCrary Sisters to play alongside those nominated for awards this year.
