Come Hear North Carolina at AMERICANAFEST® 2019

// 5.29.19

Last night, we announced our exciting new partnership with our friends at the North Carolina Department of Natural and Cultural Resources and the North Carolina Arts Council for their Come Hear NC initiative, which is spotlighting the rich musical heritage of their state. You can view highlights from the evening on our Instagram here.

We're proud to continue this spotlight at this year's AMERICANAFEST® in Nashville this September with two nights of showcases and multiple daytime panels dedicated to the music of North Carolina.

To celebrate this news, we presented a special installment of their Music at the Mansion series featuring Mandolin Orange at the Executive Mansion in Raleigh, NC.

Hosted by North Carolina First Lady Kristin Cooper and Governor Roy Cooper, attendees were treated to an intimate performance by the NC-native duo that included the fan favorite "Wildfire," accompanied by John Teer of Chatham County Line, who are also based in this great state.

We can't wait to bring this regional focus to our 20th annual music festival and conference this fall and honor North Carolina's influence on American music.

This spotlight on the music of North Carolina is part of an ongoing AMERICANAFEST series which in the past has featured highlights on the origins of the Americana music umbrella, including states like Mississippi and Oklahoma, to name a few.

Stay tuned for more details on Come Hear NC at AMERICANAFEST as we approach this year's event, Sept. 10-15 in Music City.
