(Nashville, Tenn.) January 17, 2014 - The Americana Music Association is pleased to announce it will remember Phil Everly with a tribute to the Everly Brothers during a celebration of American Roots Music. The event will take place at the Troubadour in Los Angeles, Saturday, January 25.
Phil Everly, half of the legendary duo, was a generous supporter of the not-for-profit music association. In 2009, during our nations turbulent recession, Everly scribed the lyrics of “When Will I Be Loved” (photo below) on parchment paper and donated the work for auction, raising thousands of dollars for the Americana Music Association.
Americana's Pre-Grammy Salute & Tribute to the Everly Brothers: Remembering Phil Everly, will bring legends and the next generation of creative artists to the stage for an event that promises to inspirational night of music. The 15th annual Americana Music Festival and Conference will take place September 17 - 21, 2014.
